Dear Misery

To others that do not understand,

they call you jitters, uneasiness, or maybe worries

but you are so much more than what it may seem.

You are anxiety, misery in its purest form

trapped in my body that once felt so warm

Beaten, tried, and on my knees

I have gone days without seeing the sun or feel the breeze

one day you will no longer make my skin crawl,

or have all my senses cause me to bawl

Dear misery, please release me from your shackles of pain

from the battle of never ending rain
