Dear Lord

Tue, 08/15/2017 - 11:24 -- Eviek4

The night before, I dreamt of oblivion.

Alone in this world

Yelling into the void

And out of my indecision.

A mere two words prompting a connection beyond.

As if we stand for His purpose alone.

As geocentric as we were before the

Revolutions of the Heavenly Bodies.

Mindless to the reality of our greatest surmise.

Along with my futile attempts

Came the knowledge that however great the endeavor,

The sparkling bodies in the sky were forever to exist

Admit only my dreams.

I departed the waiting line of decision,

Flinging wide the doors of desire.

Past countries and oceans,

Planets and galaxies,

I could heard past the whisper of man’s heart echoing through time.

To the utter silence of beyond.
