Dear Daddy,

Location

I was your little girl

who looked up to you every day

we skipped the rocks and fixed the clocks

and ran around and played.

One day I went to school

left you behind

I didn't whine

I must have looked like a fool

I didn't know what was coming

didn't know what you planned to do

behind the seat, the Devil's heat

started sinking through

You made it back home

and there you stood

holding all your doom

before the mirror

it was crystal clear

what you had to do

You pulled the trigger, pulled it hard

and I doubt you thought of me

your little girl, your pride and joy

your tiny bumble bee

I go through life today,

regretting that moment in time

when you held that gun to your head

and blasted all of mine.
