Dear brain

Dear brain,

I miss what we used to have. Please tell me what went wrong?

I have been frustrated with life since you abandoned me. I'm sure you know this by now. You know the constant state of emotion that I am in. Everything is black and white. Why is that? I wish you would learn that not everything is what you believe it to be. You know that I care about you, even when I don't act like it. You know that I love you. I do so much for you. I take you to the doctor when you're sick (which is quite often so you should be thanking me.) I give you nutrition from music and other stimuli. For some reason you still act like the world is against you. Why is that?

I hope you are understanding at least a little bit of what I am saying. It's quite hard for me as well so it's alright if you don't completely get it. I just wanted to let you know that I want you back. I want to help you and be with you. I want too make memories with you and go on adventures together. You have been holding me back from what I love but I know it's not your fault. I know that you still love me somewhere deep inside. Somewhere that I haven't been able to see in a long time.

I hope you know that you are loved. It may seem like everybody hates you but I hope you know that I don't hate you. Even through the very difficult times I want you to know that I love you. I want to brng back what was once an amazing relationship. I'll even bring you flowers and chocolate if that's what it takes to win you back. Don't try to fool me, I know you love chocolate.

Maybe we can take things slow? Would it be alright if I ask you on a date? How about a movie marathon of Willy Wonka, Dead Poets Society, and Donnie Darko (of course.) I'll prepare some homemade mac and cheese that I know you love so much. We can have an awesome time getting to know each other again.

Please don't give up on me. I hope that you can take this offer into consideration.

I love you and I miss you.

Sincerely,

Rachel Cherry (you)
