In the Day He Shows His Face

The moon is determined

Shining above for the world to see

Showing his face in the day

Where he is least welcome

The moon is determened

He smiles broadly in the light of his love

Basking in her glow

He chaces her day after day

The moon is determined

He continuously persists

Yet while she gives her light

She shall never follow him into the night

The moon is determined

Yet he is not indestructable

When he misses the sun in his dark home

The love disapears and his face is cast away

The moon is determined

Though cratered by his past regections

He tries day after day

Just to se the sun

The moon is determined

But he is also trapped

In an endless cycle

Until the day the crow carries him away

Chasing but never chased
