Dark to Light

Darkness is a sickness,

Pulling the tide, twisted.

Lost in the void, nothing,

Alone and cold lay my life.

Truth be told,

I am dark.

Fighting the bad blood,

Losing, fading, and broken.

Turning away from family,

Trying to hold on.

Darkness is a sickness,

Am I really twisted?

Light breaking through,

Love and warmth, I'm not alone.

Heart beating in time,

Over-joyed, loved, living.

My life, changing,

In time, while I'm forgiving.

Laughter, smiling,

I am here, trying,

Yes, I am winning,

Dark to light, I am living.
