I know so many people that hate the rain and love the day.

But me?

I love the rain and loathe the day. I am one of those rare souls who seeks comfort in the tears of the sky and who thrives at a time when others regenerize.

I have never been a morning person, but I have always been a night owl.

While others cuddle together, wrapped in one anothers' arms and sleep peacefully, I lay alone, wrapped in thin sheets and heavy thoughts all while I'm running from sleep. So many nights I have cried myself until I've drowned in misery.

While the sun haunts me, mysteries of the night haunt others.

But I could never be afraid of something as dark as me.
