Daddy Dearest

Waking up, staying up, worry through my mind

I wanted to find a way to have a bond of some kind.

I didn't need to be different, you needed to change

I woke up that day, with a thought so strange.

I begged and pleaded with myself to try to last longer

All I needed was some love, I needed to be stronger.

I've always been strong, I've always been brave

But, please, look at you... can you say the same?

I tried so hard to better myself for you,

but the thing was and is, my mind is clear blue.

So as I grow day by day I see things so much clearer,

I will always be me, so strong and cool, but you'll always be bitter.
