Dad

Dear Dad,

You may not be here,

but I know you’re watching.

You may not be near,

and I know you may be gawking.

Every time I shed a tear,

I know you wish that you were here.

I may not see you anytime soon,

but I know that one day we'll meet again.

Although I was little not even being fed with a spoon,

too little too know how to say amen.

I get this feeling whether it’s real or fake,

that you’re always there with me through the heartbreak.

Till the day we meet again, I know that I will always have a friend.
