Cries and Lies

Never hide behind loving lies when they're the ones that cause the lonely cries.

The many tries.

The senseless goodbyes.

It took too many falls to recognize.

Love is a verb, not just a word.

Or at least that's what I heard.

I've experienced darkness, caused by trying to impress.

My heart became softest when I cried hardest.

Well I say that's a lie.

The many times I've cried trusting those real lies.

Weren't my eyes real eyes?

Or were they just eyes that cried?

Cried so many times my tears lost value.

Lied so many times that the negative thoughts became true.

But I have value, don't just say I love you.

Show me it's true.

That you really do...
