Color Me In

When you fall and when you break

When you feel like you're bent out of shape.

When you breathe but no air reaches your lungs; beg for it.

When you're done, when you're broken

Just reach and I'll be there.

I’ll be your backbone while you color me in

For you’ll love me no matter the places I have been

You know my heartbreak like you never even skipped a beat.

Showed me we live in oceans; we have to swim to breathe.

I was holding back on the fact of my fears and pain.

Gained strength from our fingers laced and you found a hero.

We were lost given so much space; here’s a hand to hold

See we live in tornadoes we have to spin to stay afloat.

I'll be your backbone while you color me in

You showed me compassion which gave me my wind and wings

You showed me compassion which gave me my colors again.
