A college girls fairy tale

A girl grows up wanting to be beatiful and strong,

an innocent mind not carring any worries along.

She'll want to stand tall and be very smart,

but soon the troubles and bad days will start.

Maybe her waist won't stay so thin,

or her friendships won't stay how they've always been.

but in a fairy tale of mine, my troubles are high.

for it is not how I look or boys that make me cry.

It's my want to succeed and the walls standing between..

all I want to be and the devil wearing green.

Money is his name, and he haunts me every day.

I work all night and wake up in this shadow of gray.

I worry about tuition, about housing and food,

and the sad sad thought that for money...

there isn't much I wouldnt do.
