He said I think we better head back
To that place we call paradise
He wrapped a sweater around her shoulders
Seeing how her arms were cold and bloodless.

She said don’t worry I’m fine
I just need a little bit of heat from the pale moonlight
She wrapped her arms around her belly
Realizing that she was one too many.

He said I will handle it don’t you worry
Its quick and easy, no pain, no worries.
She wrapped the sweater tighter around her body
Hiding what beneath was slowly growing.

The sweater held her close
to its wool and cotton
Never letting go
Until blood got splattered.
