Cold Love

Location

Every day I wonder what I should say.

When I see him, my hands start to tremble.

His eyes hypnotize me and sweep me away.

Everything I say comes out in a mumble.

I dream we will run away from this town,

And no one will find our fading footsteps.

The war, blood, and the killing would be done.

He will buy us a farm and for me a dress.

Seeing him in the street gives me a hope.

His poised smile and gait makes my head spin.

But I know deep down we can not elope.

His arm is around a girl with a matching grin.

So here i stand with nobody to hold,

Feeling my dream, hope, and love become cold.
