Closeted Confusion
Location
His fate was obscure like broken crystal.
The shore of shards carved his existence,
ambiguous like the grim sky's thunder.
No more does the loving lark sing,
for the sinister caws of the crows swell.
Sand like snakes slither to the sea.
Piercing—bleeding from tearful terror.
The man advances to the tide:
confused, dazed, puzzled.
Unveiling its tears, the sky still rumbles,
to conceal the charm of true love's absence.
Amid the clouds, the moon shines through;
the beach reflecting its ghastly glow.
A gusting breeze chilled his freezing thoughts,
leaving him senseless and numb.
What was there to do?
Hope, integrity, and optimism ceased to exist,
like a dampened paint brush stroking across the ocean.
Amidst the horizon, an island lay—full of life.

Great alliteration and use of discriptive words to provide a vivid image.

The ending is so very beautiful. There's so much verbage to take in and digest, and it gets your brain swirling, and then all of a sudden you see what is being painted. It's life! It's right in front of your eyes.

Your imagery is astounding.
