Civil War

I dont want to face

Real

She scares me and makes me uncomfortable

She embarrasses me in front of  the people I love

sometimes I hate her

So I hide her

And pretend that I don't know her

Tell people that we are not affiliated

And I betray her so I can be friends with

Fake

She helps me not only get friends

But she helps me keep them

I welcome her with a warm embrace

But her hugs, though enthusiastic,

Are continuously cold

And yet, I ignore this flaw

In the same way that I ignore Real

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
