not just pacific air but mountain and desert too

People’s air that fills the mountain valley

The desires that permeate the desert’s cracked soil

The blue haze of a day dripping with

shine

on a dancer’s embroidered shoes

their soles quenched by passion

Passion in the sand that coats fibreglass

Passion in empanadas whose warmth soothes the body after a long day

downtrodden searching for my path

may I stumble upon it with Patagonia

in the small pleasures of exchange among strangers

in the discomfort of transportation and

simple decisions made monumental in time
