The Chase

I can feel you closing in
Nipping at my heals, only a few steps behind
What do you want from me?
I never asked for this chase to begin
And yet to chase me down, you seem inclined
It needs to end; how do I get free?
I don't want to be the yang to your yin
My peaceful life, you’ve maligned
Where can I run and find safety?
Searching for the answers needed to win
I need to stop you from again entering my mind
When will I solve this mystery?
My feet tangle and again I trip as you form a grin
You lunge and we become entwined
Why does this happen quite so regularly?
Trouble caught up again, this chase is fin.
To see a purpose in me, trouble must be blind
Does trouble chase me to gain a buddy?
