The Character Within

Location

The younger years were a struggle.

Learning disabilities, angry teachers and disappointed parents.

The boy was different.

He looked at the world through his own lens.

He knew something was amiss, but he couldn’t pinpoint it.

High school drew to a close and the young man had to change.

The “real-world” was calling his name and he had to answer.

So he went to college with that same restlessness.

But then he left. Gasp!

What is he doing with his life?

Through his time away, he learned to think for himself.

He developed values and beliefs.

Most importantly, he built character within.

The character can’t be seen or touched.

It is intangible.

But it can be experienced.

No more restlessness. No more doubt.

His differences are his strength.

And his strength carries him forward.

Now he returns to the world of academia.

Psychology is the route of choice.

But now he carries with him a certainty.

A flawlessness that is unmatched.

The boy has become man.

And the man has character within.
