The Cat I Know

Location

Let me tell you a little story about a cat I know,

That wen’t from love to loss not too long ago,

From inside a warm house to outside in the rain,

Nobody cared about her struggles, hunger, or pain,

One day a girl came by that was happy to meet her,

The two became friends and every week she would greet her,

The cat was neglected without any reason,

And was expected to remain outside throughout the winter season,

The thought of the cat freezing made the girl so sick,

She took the cat in and the decision was quick,

The cat’s first owner had nothing to say,

As she picked up the cat one final summer’s day,

Let me tell you a little story about a cat I know,

That wen’t from love to loss not too long ago,

Whose memories of struggling are in the past,

Because the girl and the cat are happy at last.
