Cancer

Location

People can die because of anything

But cancer is the thing that got you down

When you passed away it made the church sing

Knowing you weren’t coming back made us frown

All that was on our faces were tears

Not of joy but of the terrible pain

Realizing I’ll go without you for years

Mixing my tears with the pouring wet rain

Almost a long year and a half later

I became used to not seeing your face

My strength has gotten so much more greater

I know that you’re in a much better place

One day I know that I will be with you

Not one moment I doubt it to be true
