What would I like to write about

The profane

My love

Shall I write about what I'm happy about

Or something else

How about my machete injury

Or how Jim Crow allowed my attacker to be free,

What about the N-word

And how its used on the daily

Can I escape this insanity?

Then again, why should I

Run from things I despise

Confront these demon eyes

With the power of enlightenment

I will cease to comply

Nor will I conform

With what lies beneath the cloudy sky
