Caged Inside

The mockingbird sits in the dark,

While fearing the fury that comes from the falcon.

She awaits fro the falcon to pounce and prey,

On her meek body and her innocence.

  The mockingbird flies to school,

With the unsettling images that plague her actions.

But the teachers overlook the hidden rage,

Or the bruises on her meek body, and her innocense.

To stduents the mockingbird is invisible,

She is just another disturbed cast away that graces the halls.

But to the falcon, it is his opportunity to prey,

On her meek body and her innocence.

One dyth mockinbirdd hatches a plan,

She must await for the falcon's time of dormacy.

But, the mockingbird fears that the falcon never sleeps,

He's always watching over her meek body and innocence.

One morning, the mockingbird puts on her  pink sneakers,

And walks out to the highway.

From there she flies and leaves behind the secrets,

That she always kept over her meek body and innocence.
