Bring Me the Funny Papers

I would love to give you a serious answer to your serious question. Picture my tightening my imaginary tie and clearing my throat, about to pitch you the fix of a life time. I would love to tell you that I’m about to cure cancer. But I’m not. I’m not going to fix the o zone layer, or magically repair our government’s budget issues.

I am going to give you the power of laughter.

Yea

If there was one thing I could change about the world, it would be making our fictional childhood characters and bring back the innocence of being a kid that we all seem to lose sooner or later.

Wouldn’t it be something if I could have a real Gizmo from Grimlins instead of a cat? I’ll promise my parents I won’t get him wet.

And bring Daffy Duck to my conference at two, Sherry. He makes a hell of a case against water pollution.

After you get off work, go fight cheesy crime with the Power Rangers until your wife sets the table, because she invited the Flinstones, and you know how Fred gets when he’s hungry.

The thing is, I don’t want to change the world. I want to get it back to how it was when I was looking at it through the eyes of a child.
