That Boy

Location

He's not tall, dark and handsome

Or a muscular jock

Not a hopeless romantic

Or a sex-driven shmuck

He's not perfect

He gets angry

He has scars

But he's still perfect to me.

He forgets sometimes

And he does things wrong

I do too.

He's not always happy

Me either.

But he gives me his best

And he works hard

And he cares

He doesn't meet the stereotype

Me either.

Our relationship is different

That's okay.

Because that boy

Is a man

We're making a plan.

It won't be perfect.

But that boy

Is the world to me.
