In between Child

I am known as my mother's daughter,

Or so and so's sisters.

Don't they know?

I have a name of my own.

Heaven doesn't have a plan for me

Hell ain't go no place for me

But purgatory's gates are wide open

To welcome me.

I may live in your house

But I don't belong here.

My heart grows restless

And emotions turn to fear.

I'm just the in between child.

With no place for my own.

So when I go.

Please don't shed a single tear.
