The Best Years of Our Lives
Location
The day that we loathe is finally here,
The day in which we start a new school year.
Seniors walk the halls: this year being their last,
Freshman walk the halls just searching for their first class.
But the arrival of school is not all bad,
It gives us opportunities which summer never had.
We see our best friends every day,
Yet while we change, our school remains the same.
We see new teachers and new administration,
Each and every one of them longing for organization.
We have Homecoming and football,
Late nights and narrow halls.
We complain of too much work and too many tests,
although we all know for a fact: these years will be our best.
