Behind the smile that everyone sees

is a girl whose worried she wont achieve her dreams.

She cries and cries every day and night

wondering if she's doing this college thing right.

with her friends she laughs and goofs around

they never see her tears when they hit the ground.

Instead all they see is this confident girl

whose truly afraid of this big,new world.

as she sits writing this poem 

she suddenly feels all alone.

she barely has enough money for school and just might quit

that's why she needs this scholarship.
