Behind the Big Coat

Location

Wrapped up in a thick material

like a fragile piece of glass.

Down to my thighs.

Solid black.

Unobtrusive.

Hidden.

Afraid.

Eyes look out into the big world.

They don't see you.

Lips form so many words.

You can't hear them.

And maybe never will.

From within, a light pulses bright and beautiful, like a diamond star on a crystal clear night.

Shrouded with the clouds of my own weaving.

Covered in felt.

And sealed away with large, black buttons.

Its a physical manefestation of your mental fears. Being shy affects my life a lot more than it probably should.
