To be SevenTeen

Sat, 12/27/2014 - 13:36 -- A.zades
It's really weird
To be seventeen
And not know anything
They say ignorance is bliss
So I guess my life should be at peace
But it's not
When you're seventeen
And trying to figure out
Wrong from right
It's like you're two again
And understanding right from left
Or being seven
and learning to ride a bike
When you're seventeen
And trying to learn
An honest soul from the rest
It's like being eleven
And picking apples at the orchard
Trying to pick out the rotten ones
Or being four
And finding out what colors blend
And which ones turn black
Being seventeen sucks.
When you love someone
And it's real
And you don't know what to do about it
It's like when you were eight
And trying to figure out who to invite to your tea party
And which friends you had to leave out
Being seventeen and confused and falling madly in love
Is like being thirteen
13 and joining middle school
Figuring out who you are
What friends are true
What you will become
It's so beautiful
Yet so confusing
To be seventeen
So ignorant and young
Falling in love
To be seventeen...
