Average American Girl

Average American girl, that's what people see.

They feel as if they know me, but truly they do not.

Judging me like they judge a cover of a book.

Hurling rocks at me waiting for my complexion to break.

On the outside I look as if I'm some kind of diamond that cannot be broken.

On the inside I look as if I'm some sort of broken glass that cannot be put back together.

Little do they know that I'm not just that average American girl they see.
