Autumn's Breeze

Tue, 10/28/2014 - 22:30 -- Jocosa

A chill descends onto revealed skin.

Autumn has found it's way in,

Through the windows and doorways,

Conquering what were once summer days.

The leaves shed their green and show their true hues,

But the wind comes in and knocks them loose.

Falling, dancing, being blown with the breeze.

Leaving behind bare branches to freeze.

The world ignores this picturesque landscape,

But this beauty is my form of escape.

The scene continues to linger in my mind

Even after I've been locked up and confined.

I may only need the air and food to survive,

But the beauty of nature is what I need to thrive.
