The Atomic Destruction By Ares Hand

I was shocked as I peered out the gaping hole

my wall, crumbled, disintegrated proved the destruction was total

I could not believe that master of war

turned my beloved country into a bloody shore

why, Ares, declare an atomic fight against all?

I gag as I peer again at the lack of life outside my wall

mere shadows where people had stood graced every walk-way

as my now static-like TV produced a mad laugh “I said they would pay!”

the crazy scientist obliterated society simply for the sport

and his condemnation to hell would a consequence that would fall short

”I hate you” I seethed at the creator of destruction through my teeth

tears streamed down my face looking at the horror in disbelief.
