From Another Time

What is this from another time?

Shall it be his, or shall it be mine?

I do so wish for its perfect skin,

its brief height with high raised chin.

All wish for it or like,

I just look for its delight.

Something so different from me and my rhyme,

Oh, how I wish for this from a different time.

Nothing so similar have we to share.

It is to be, is my only prayer.

“It wont fit” is all I'm told.

“It just isn't right, you aren't as old”

What is known to them is not as true

So close to me, fulfills up my hugh.

Although its from a different place,

I won't let it go by God’s grace.

Who is this I wish to be mine?

Who is this beauty from another time?
