America the Flawed

Oh America, I love to call you mine.

If I had the courage I would fight for this land.

I feel useless compared to those who give everything for this land.

For this land, I shall become the best person I can be.

Oh America, you do indeed shine.

You’ve seen rough times, yet you continue on.

There are threats ever looming around, yet you continue on.

We are fighting against you America, yet you continue on.

Oh America, we pretend you are fine.

The people walk around blind to the corruption around them.

The people avoid problems that, if solved, would help everyone.

The people do not realize they are being manipulated by who they adore.

Oh America, you are in a decline.

The government is struggling to continue on every new year.

The economy is spiraling out of control on the brink of a crash.

The problems facing you are becoming large enough to shape you.

Oh America, can we say you are defined?

I wish everyone was not so afraid, how can we improve?

I wish we could truly not discriminate, how can we spread culture?

I wish there was more control of you for the people.

What is America to Americans?

America is equality, America is freedom, America is hope

America is a nation united with its differences.

America is the place for the determined fighters.

America is a new land for lost souls.
