America 2017 [YOUNG| POOR| BLACK| GIRL] America 2017

Who am I?

Who are you?

What are we?

I love you

and you love me

but we are both trapped in our imminent dreams.

As different as we are

our dreams are one in the same.

Be the boss, make change, lots of money to gain.

I see that your dreams may never come true.

You only see what your world allows you to.

I try to show you the entire world

But I am just a girl.

Besides...

I love me more than I love you

and you love you more than you love me.

Still, I beg and I pleid.

But you just want you way.

Unequal is the New Equal

You think this way is right.

So, I love me more than I love you

and you love you more than you love me.

Still I feel the overwhelming emptiness of where my heart used to be.

My heart has been pulverized.

So every night I lay awake and grieve.

You were supposed to chose me!

You were supposed to ignore your greed!

Who am I?

A YOUNG POOR BLACK GIRL in distress caused by her country's demise.
