Alone

Speak to me

Emerson & Thoreau

Speak to me

Let me be alone with the stars

I am me, no imitation

Obeying my inner voice,

Loving my best self.

Can I trust my friends?

Figuring out their motives,

Do they like me for me?

Or are they only for a season…

Here I stand with nature.

Goodness abounds.

I am me, no imitation.

Here I stand alone

All by myself

Trying to be strong,

All on my own.

Transcendentalism

(A hard word to say)

About being yourself

No matter what they say.

That one T word!

(Still can’t say it)

I really tried my best

But it’s difficult...

I love to be alone.

I loooooooooooooove!
