All That I Am

I stand on a pedestal,
In the mist of waters.
Perching, watching-
I stand for freedom,
Liberty and justice.
Yet I cannot give
All that I am.

Tribes are coming here
from far away lands,
Wishing, hoping.
I stand for freedom,
Liberty and justice.
Words that portray me
As something I am not

I sing for America,
For clans, tribes, and folks.
Descriptions hide me,
Like a shield for protection.
Offering many things
That I cannot give.
But I pray, someday,
I will give-
All that I am.
