The Air

There’s a feeling in the air – an old sensation –

Making me restless

For long midnight drives to nowhere

With windows wide open,

head balanced on an arm,

allowing the breeze to caress the face and skin.

Taking in the entirety of the deep, navy sky,

With each and every star,

 and what the world holds.

It reminds me of lazy nights underneath the sky

With star gazing

Of love and happiness

Of eternal youth

It reminds me of young love,

Of dumb love

Of fingers changing into claws

Legs pressing and pushing

Hearts wide open, beating, pulsing.

The unconditional craving

To feel a connection

To be a part of something different

To be another half

Making music with our bodies,

Of wanting and needing

The clash of body against body

How the hands pull and tear

- in absolute desire and need –

Quick bites and drags at the neck.

An endless high

That fills the body with restless, careless need.

A night filled with pure, divine emotion

Of soft lips, and rough kisses

Simple moans and plain truths

Me
My family
