Adult before a teen.

Dad drinks all day.

Pops a pill and lays all day.

Mom is sick again.

Doesn't know if she will make it.

Brother is older, but mentally is not.

Having to be a an adult can be hard.

But why did I have to be an adult before being a teen?

WHY, did I have to be an adult so soon?

When do I get to do the things teens do?

Oh, but I won't.

Skipping that pharse.

Straight to adulthood.

Must take care of family, even if I am the child.

But, as an adult now, I can say I learned early.

I know what life is about.

How to be a survivor.

Look at me now.

Living differently than others my age.

I am an adult, but never was I a teen.
