The 1963 Birmingham Church bomb

 <br />

Information found on cnn.com

 <br /> <br />

The blast went off on Sixteenth Street

 <br />

The ones who died were sickly sweet

 <br /> <br />

Fourteen Fourteen Fourteen and Eleven,

 <br />

The ages of those sent straight to heaven

 <br /> <br />

This action of the Klu Klux Klan

 <br />

Lasted only a short time span

 <br /> <br />

But that day we lost four beautiful girls

 <br />

Who shone brightly, just like pearls

 <br /> <br />

The president announced these acts cruel

 <br />

Anyone taking part was declared a fool

 <br /> <br />

MLK called on the army to run the city

 <br />

However, that situation wouldn’t be pretty

 <br /> <br />

Finally, Robert Chambliss is convicted

 <br />

He’s paid for the crimes to which he is acquitted.
