being sixteen is kind of a big thing

im a senior

im graduating high school

Im going to college

all before i turn seventeen

but sometimes 

being sixteen is hard

watching my group of friends 

get smaller

and smaller

watching my mom struggle to pay for all of these applications.

it's hard, ya know.

realizing that i cause all the burden

and economic stress

and the constant reminder of age

"you're only sixteen"

"you think you grown because you sixteen?"

and i just listen

because that's exactly what i am

only sixteen.
