Taking a Stand

Given the chance,

I would take a stand,

And tell you that you’re wrong.

Given the chance,

I would make you listen

To the frustration you cause me.

Why are you letting a student who doesn’t care control the class?

Why can’t you pay attention to the students who want to learn?

Why do you still believe one bad apple spoils the bunch?

Instead of polishing the ones that haven’t rotten.

As a teacher,

Shouldn’t you be teaching?

Isn’t your job to make us learn?

To instruct us, to give us direction?

Then why are you just sitting there?

Put down your coffee.

Put down your cell phone.

Do your job.

Help us.
