Before I was Better
Before I was better nothing was right.
I'd cry in the mirror in the middle of night.
Before I was better my skin felt so safe.
So I'd cut it open just so I'd feel pain.
Before I was better food was not an option.
I'd starve for weeks without a single question.
Before I was better I couldn't stand you.
I'd easily break down in a crowded room.
But now I am better, But I'm not set free.
I'm just giving my demons a harder time of chasing me.
