Night
Night, dear night,
How your moon does shine bright.
But the nightmares and horrors
Of your dark sullen moods
Surely cast over your stars.
That twinkle and gleam with all their might
And wink at all passerby's.
If not for the madness,
Born from full moon's light,
Binding the blood laced streets forever to the night,
Then perhaps the sweet dreams
From children in their beds,
Could chase away the monster lurking in my head.
Too bad your power isn't so great,
For you peaceful quite moods,
Can't beat the cold seeping into the room.
