Eloquence eludes me

This is highly unusual

Because usually I can be a ferocious faucet of feeling

A maximized magnified momentum of meaning

Words 

Most of the time

Come easy

 

But when I look at her face

Two diamond eyes framed by

Locks of sunlight and strength

A perfect nose and two perfect lips

That always know what to say

Eloquence eludes me

 

How to explain the situation

I repeatedly find myself in

The smile I feel when she tickles my side

The laugh that falls out of my mouth

She’s too much fun for me to even try and remember

What I was going to say

 

Being with her

At kitchen countertops

On couches or hot tubs

Classrooms and city parks

I’ve never been more

Excited to spend my time with someone

Infinitely better on her

Despite being way, way

Too big

Too long

 

So I’m going to hold her up
