The gods still want to help
The former gods looked around,
And their jaws dropped at what they saw.
Their feet felt strange on solid ground,
No longer high up in the clouds.
"What's happened on Earth?" Zeus boomed out,
First to brake the silence.
"We need to fix this," he cried,
"These humans obviously can't live without us."
The others nodded in agreement,
As Demeter silently wept.
"Where are the farmers in their feilds?"
She cried, as Poseidon gazed to the West.
Artemis whispered,"Where are the beasts,
The birds, the bugs? Where are the hunters,
the woods, my home?"
Hades simply shook his head.
"This land should go to the underworld."
With that, they all began,
To go their separate ways,
To fix the parts of the world,
That had always been their pride.
