Simon Says

As A Small Seed I Admired Daddy

Daddy Was My Heart and Joy

As My Roots Start To Spread He Saw Something Different In Me

Roamers And Hate Surrounded Him So It Surrounded Me

It Was Like A Game Of Simon Says

He Was Simon and Whatever He Said Went Accordingly

I Thought Love Was Violent And Submissive So That’s What I Imagine Was Destine For Me

I Couldn’t See Being More Than Just Average Me

My First Love Treated Me Like A Star Like A Queen

My Roots Grew Stronger And I Could Finally Sprouts To Be Someone I Wanted To Be

I Thought That Boy Loved Me And My Heart Grew As Big As Mars

My Heart Was Open and My Eyes Were Blinded On Who He Really Meant To Be

Simon Had A New Name And His Name Was Mark

I Saw Another Chance To Make Simon Proud of Me Not Realizing Simon Never Really Love Me

He Broke Me Down Destroyed Me And Scared My Heart

As I Grew Up And Grew Stronger I Realized What Was Wrong I Never Looked In The Mirror At Me For Me

I Look At The Reflection On What Eveyone Wanted Me To Be

Finally Grew To Be A Thyme Courageous and Strong

From That Day Forward I Became Simon And Simon Was Me
