She Is But The Earth

My love isn't the cold, opaque sky that is gray,

Nor the wet grass, veiled in the sky's tears.

She's a warm, bright, summers day.

The sand surrounding the piers.

My love may be the icy chill in the air during winter,

But her heart gives me the warmth of summer.

Her piercing beauty is angelic. God, how her green eyes shimmer.

She helps me see the power behind every tear drops' glimmer.

Together, something beautiful has been birthed;

A love that will never end nor cease.

She is but the Earth

And I a mere succesor of her peace.
