The Way
Wherefore I seek the path which journeying
possess said travel’s cause, the way itself
reason despising comfort, that freeing
highway leading beyond riches and wealth
so oft un-trod that I’d be trailblazing
instead of following a pave-d road?
To me horizon bring O amazing,
unmapped-d course, take me to the abode
where setting sun prepares the morrow’s day.
I have not found the path, but taste this hope:
The seeking seems in part finding the way,
the destination firmly in my scope.
O trail of trails, my wanderlust excite!
That I may learn the way which I should write.
